Micky Flanagan

We’d seen Micky Flanagan a few times on TV and decided to catch his show at the Hexagon. Micky is obviously on the rise as he’d already sold out the smaller Concert Hall back in February.

First half of the cockney how was support very funny. Not having seen Micky much before, I was worried she would upstage him and so he’d be disappointing in comparison. Luckily this was not the case.

Great observational humour – especially about things that I could relate to. Micky is the same age as me (late 40s) so it was lovely to hear about things from my childhood, like snorkel parkas. I must be getting old…

He had to do his “Out Out” sketch, by popular demand; most people, I assume, have heard it all before so it definitely wasn’t fresh but it’s his Greatest Hit so why not?
