Lazy bastard postman

This is our front door. It faces our front garden and the public path that goes past. It has been raining heavily this afternoon so the ground is a bit wet.

Indicated by the red arrow is a parcel left there for us by the postman. It is very wet but fortunately the packaging is a plastic envelope so the contents are probably dry. We are, of course, even luckier that no passer-by decided to take advantage of this autumnal windfall.

If it were possible for you to see the front of the parcel, you might be surprised to see a label with the text “Royal Mail Recorded Signed For”. That’s right, this item has somehow been successfully signed for (although no-one was at home) but for some reason dumped on the doorstep.

Lazy bastards.
